I am looking to get the details for amount of data backed up by each and every Media Server per hour for last 24 hours.
I tried to find the default templates for any report which generates the above information, however, was not able to find it.
Can you please help me if we can find this out with any default reports or any custom SQL?

i use netbackup 7.5 and opscenter for reporting. type of some of policies are oracle database. and they have several channels to do the backup.
when i use job duration report for the policy it sum measure of all channels. for example i know job duration must be 40 hours but becouse of 5 channles it show me 200 hours.
is there a way to count exaclt measure of this kind of policy?

I am using BE 14.1 (rev 1786) with a Tandberg LTO-5 HH tape drive.
Each time I do a manual (or scheduled) tape ejection, the tape is ejected immediately and during about 6 minutes BE displays the job ejection. Then it stops with an error alert :
"Eject drive 00014 -- The job failed with the following error: A device attached to the system is not functioning"
Then the only solution I have is to reboot my OS.
Where the problem come from ? software or hardware ?

i have an issue with BE2012.
I have a small customer with 5 VMs to backup. The job runs B2D and then directly duplicate to tape.
Since one week the server starts to eject the tape (standalone tape drive) after every duplicate job. The option for ejecting tapes after completion is not selected.
Any idea what could cause this behaviour?

We are using Netbackup 7.6.1.2 and OpsCenter Analytics 7.6.1.2
In NBU Admin Console, under Reports there are 2 reports that I would like to customize if the underlying data is available in the OpsCenter DB and I can get the SQL Queries for those reports.
Report1: Images on Tape (under Tape Reports)
Report2: Images on Disk (under Disk Reports, can be filtered by disk type)
If the reports are fetching the data from the OpsCenter DB would it be possible to obtain the executing sql statements by Tracing ?
Any help will be appreciated.

After days of trawling the forums and google trying my hardest to find a solution to my problem i have given in and decided to ask for help.
I have inherited a backup exec 2012 (SB edition) system all running on one box which is Small Business Server 2011, the box runs the exchange file server and backup server, i've created 2 seperate jobs as i found this was the best method to back up the server (one for exchange and one for files) however the exchange server job won't get past the credentials check, i have followed the admin guide ans the user has all the required permissions.
I did find someone who said the backup user account had to be part of the local admins group however it is full domain admin and the server with exchange is ofcourse the only DC meaning it has got no local security groups.
Any help is greatfully received.

I am running the latest update of Backup Exec 2014 on a windows 2012 R2 Server.
I have recently begun looking into configuring B2D2T Backups and have the following questions in regards to it:
1. When backing up to disk and duplicating to tape, does the duplicate come from the disk backups, or from the original server?
2. If I were to set the B2D2T job to backup straight after to the tape, would the verify for the first instance finish prior to moving on?
3. I would like to start taking differential backups of the exchange full. Would removing the full tape backup disrupt this? Or does it backup based on the catalogs? If it does not, would it be possible to make the differential backup the disk copy (Or would this cause issues due to the "Only manage disk backups within Backup Exec" rule).
Appreciate any advice.

I've installed the backup agent on LINUX client to take a STANDARD bacup after a policy was created and the backup was taken smothly, I've noticed other jobs running on the same client amd don't have policy and returning error 230, please check the attached jobs sample

The server which I try to browse is the local server, where BE is installed.
After the wait time I can do all the task and the backup is OK.

i have this file server(terabytes of data) backed up with accelerator turned on.
i want to calculate the data growth, but not possible to get the exact size of data backed up since the accelerator is enabled.
the report will produce an output as below:
data on May was the last full backup before we enable accelerator.
any idea how to get the exact size of the actual full backup?

I am testing the failover scenario with NBU 7.6.1.
I am backing up the SMB share (network share). My client which is the source of my data is mounted on the windows 2008 NBU master server and has 2 nodes-node A and node B.
issue:
if i run a backup from nodeA and do the failover from the cluster while the backup is running, the backup stops. It doesnt fail but is partially successful. NBU backsup the data till the point when failover is executed.
Activity monitor says "backup is partially successful" and says that "the specified path no longer exists".
In an ideal scenario, when a failover is run on nodeA, it should automatically switch to node B without affecting the backup.
However, if i take a backup (without failover) which is successful and do a restore and while restore is running, i do a failover of the nodeA then restore is successful. So the issue is only when failover is done while the backup is running.
I want to know if there is any setting in NBU which needs to be edited in order do a sucessful backup when a failover is run in the middle of the running backup.
Kindly help and suggest.

Tape Driver kafasını değiştirdik fakat cihaz 800 GB veriyi 16 Saatte yazıyor. Drive değişmeden önce bu sorun yoktu? Drive değiştikten sonra bu sorun başladı. Ibm tarafına case açtırdım kendileri Symantec driver kaynaklanabileceğini söylediler. Device Managerda gözüken Provider IBM yerine Symantec Yazıyormuş Bu konuda yardımlarınızı rica ediyorum.
