How do i use bpnbat ? It takes me to the login prompt but what login do I use? How do i configure this?

My company is trying to implement an effective offsite disaster recovery plan. I currently have Symantec System Recover 2013 R2 for use in backing up our existing servers. We have created virtual instances of all of our physical servers that are going to an offsite location for disaster recovery. What I would like to implement is having the incremental backups of our physical onsite servers performed each night and copied to the offsite location, and then those backups automatically restored to the virtual servers so the information on them remains as current as possible. I know how to schedule the backup tasks, but is there a way to schedule an automatic restore? Or perhaps commands that can be used with Windows Task Scheduler to implement this?

I have installed a new version Netbackup 7.7 over 7.6.1.2...
All steps in Install pass... but when i open administrative console, error with VXSS authentication... i have account admin local... admin in domain... trying another users... but dont work.
Im clone my vm, and install after remove all netbackup... install works... enter in netbackup administrative console... thats perfect... but im lost all... my catalog backup... files in tapes... it's possible recovery all? but im prefer fix vxss auth for keep my catalog and files in tapes ok.

I got a problem in my two tape drives, Which has been configured on my SUN OS media server, Where the HP tape drives are visible on OS end, I confirmed this by running scan command.
When i try to do device configuration its listing on the wizard and i can able to see its properities, After completing the device configuration, I can't see it under devices.
Please advise on this

we see SQL transaction log backup completing with status code 1 with below error:

Its working fine for rest of the DB tx log backup from the same job.

I currently have a licensed Netbackup server running 7.6.0.1. Would I need to purchase another license to upgrade to 7.6.1 or 7.7 or can this license be rolled up?

I'm having issues with getting Incremental backups of VMware virtual machines working using the AVVI agent.
V-79-57344-38324 - Incremental\\Differential backup methods are not supported for this VM. The backup job failed, since the option 'to fall back to a full backup' was not selected. V-79-57344-38366 -

I've confirmed that VM hardware version is appropriate and that CBT is enabled and working.
Full backups have completed successfully.
What can caused the above message and incrementals to not be possible?

OK I am new at this so I have been just using what my predecessor had set up but it is very inconsistent sometimes the Utility Partition and System State were selected, sometimes just one of them and sometimes none. So what should be includes in a daily full backup of each server.
We use a tape backup system with 8 tapes.
We use a 14 day rotation of the tapes.
From our "C""D" drive we have selected the needed folders and files.
Do I need the utility partition? Do I need the System State?
What should be selected on our Microsoft Exchange server? I only have the "Microsoft Information Store" selected.
I do a monthly fully selected backup for each orf our servers for disaster recovery.

We are looking for Symantec Backup Exec private cloud for our customers, I have been reading though the Backup Exec 2014 Technical White Paper Private Cloud Services & Planning and Deployment Guide. My question is, does it mandatory to use OST supported storage devices at Manaaged Service Provider Backup Exec and the customer Backup Exec Servcer environment as disk repository ? or can we use any storage disk and Dedupication Option license on both ends?

I'm using system recovery 2013 R2 on a windows 2012 server. this backups to a NAS drive.
We've been having issues since installing in June, where system recovery seems to lock the nas drive. the only way I can eject it, is to right click on the drive in computer and hit eject on the cartridge.
the eject button on the rdx won't even allow a manual eject.
The reason i think system recovery is the issue, is that when i eject the cartridge. system recovery notification by the clock pops up saying that the drive is now unavailable. meaning it must be looking at the drive.
I was wondering if i can get it to ignore the drive some how.
I have double checked my settings in system recovery and it does not include the rdx drive for the backup.
any ideas
I purchased 7.6 couple years ago and never used it. I didn't see a clear document that said you can install 7.7 new,not upgrade from 7.6. Is this possible It would be easier now to just install 7.7 than go through upgrade process.

Now my system has 01 new server Windows Server 2008 STD R2, i will move Backup Exec 2012 Server from old server to this new server, old server will become backup agent.
I also bought 01 new agent license, but it is for Backup Exec 15.
So i need send email to License Support of Symantec for downgrade this license from Backup Exec 15 to Backup Exec 2012?

Für einen Test mit unserem altem Netbackup-Server Version 7.0 auf UNIX suche ich einen NetBackup-Client kleiner Version 7.0 .
Hintergrund:
Auf einigen Windows 7-Systemen lässt sich der Client Version 7.0 aufgrund eines Installer-Fehlers nicht installieren.
Versuche den Fehler mitteles verschiedener Workarounds zu beheben schlugen Fehl, 7.0 lässt sich nicht installieren.
Die Clientversion 7.5 / 7.6 / 7.7 kommen zunächst nicht in Frage, da die Clients auf dem älteren Backup-Server gesichert werden sollen,
standortbedingt. Auf Sicht ist eine Aufrüstung/Ersatz des Backup-Servers geplant, kostet aber erstmal zuviel.
(Habe ja gerade viel Geld für das neue System ausgegeben. ;-) )
Würde gerne einen Versuch mit dem Client 6.5 starten, bis neues System angeschafft wird.
Kann den aber in meinem Lizenzportal nicht mehr herunterladen, weil zu alt.
Client 6.0 habe ich auf Platte, der kann aber kein 64bit :-(
Kann irgendjemand aushelfen ?

We have a 5230 running 2.6.0.2 and are trying to install more recent patches on it. The first available patch is SYMC_NBAPP_update-2.6.0.3-1.x86_64.rpm. When we check the DownloadProgress, it says its stopped. Any ideas why this would be so?

i need to backup two Windows Server 2012 r2 Machines, both Machines are connected by FC to a LTO4 Tape-Autoloader.
One Machine is my MediaServer the other one is just a Client.
When trying to Backup the "Client" Machine, the Backup runs VERY slow (~60MB/min). How do i have to Setup BE2015 to use my FC connection? Or do i have to use another sollution?

For whatever reason I keep seeing this in the logs when trying to backup:
Error EC8F17B7: Cannot create recovery points for job: Drive Backup of System Reserved (*:\), (C:\).
Error ED800019: The recovery point file '\\ifc-b2013\simage\IFC-B2013\C_Drive025_i001.iv2i' could not be opened.
Error E7D1001D: Unable to open '//ifc-b2013/simage/IFC-B2013/C_Drive025_i001.iv2i'.
Error EBAB03F1: Following Operating System error occurred while performing requested operation: 'The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.'
Error E7D10049: Device simage appears to be offline, disconnected, or otherwise unavailable. (UMI:V-281-3215-6071)

There is plenty of space on the external drive, so space shouldn't be a issue. What can I do to reslove this?? SSR has SP2 applied already.

1. Job Name
2. Completed Status (Successful or not)
3. Job Started
4. Job ended
5. Device and Media used (Media Label(s), Drive Name, Slot
I would like to know which tables are being used for this information.

При проверке в Recovery Point Browser возникает такая ошибка:
"Ошибка ED800012: Внутренняя структура файла точки восстановления (CRC Validation) недопустима, повреждена или не поддерживается."
Точка использовалась примерно 2 раза (безпроблемно) и в дальнейшем никак не затрагивалась.
На момент создания таблица диска была такой:
Boot (100Mb)
Диск С - Windows 7 x64
Диск D (просто данные)
Ext4 - "/"
SWAP
Ext4 - "Home"
Сейчас такая:
Boot (100Mb)
Диск С - Windows 7 x64 (здесь он был увеличен примерно на 20Gb)
Диск D (просто данные)
Ext4 - "/"
Ext3 - "Boot"
Ext4 - "Home"
Ext4 - "Usr"

Может ли выдавать ошибку "CRC Validation"из-за изменённой таблицы?
