We are experiencing the above error when trying to Inventory HP C7972AN LTO Ultrium 2 tapes written to in 2007.
Having read Article:000042258 none of the solutions apply to us ie We don't use Bar Code Rules and All Media types are checked for the drive.
Can anyone suggest any other possible solutions or logs to investigate further or pass onto Symantec for deeper analysis?

I am trying to get a remote console up and running but its not working! Fairly certain of the issue but not sure how to fix...

It is pretty obvious the issue is the different versions, the main server has been updated via live update, when I ran the install for the admin console (using the original ISO I installed the server with) it completed and then ran live update, completed okay but for whatever reason it hasn't brought it up to the same level.
Is there anyway I can download the files from Symantec? I have searched all over and can't find them. I have a valid license key but my maintenance key has expired (I did kind of expect to be able to download software that I have previously purchased though).

I have followed https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.TECH181975 to cancel further processing on an SLP managed duplication (Backup to AdvDisk1, duplicate to AdvDisk2,duplicate to tape for long term retention) as the final copy had been written to tape but was still showing as NOT_STARTED, consequently the re-spawning duplications failed with error 190.
I have run nbstlutil cancel -backupid CLIENT_1448054800 and the image now shows as COMPLETE, however although copies 1 and 2 show the correct expiration dates, copy 3 still shows as NOT_STARTED, its expire time and expire LC time still shows "Tue Jan 19 03:14:07 2038" or infinite.
The Image's Required Expiration Date shows Thu Jan 01 00:00:00 1970.
I have attached a sanitised version of the nbstlutil list -U -backupid CLIENT_1448054800 for more information.
What further steps do I need to take to ensure that copy 3 expires at the end of the 7 year retention period?

I have 10+ different Master Server and I have to every time open Java console to login into respective master servers. I am aware that we can use NetBackup Operations Manager to look all the servers in single console however I have few restrictions to use it. Do anyone have idea to use a one single window to manage multiple master server?
For Eg: we have 100 of Windows systems to RDP into it we have to do MSTSC every time in order to ease of use we can use Remote Desktop connection manager in which you can add all your servers and login into them and do your admin task.

I upgraded the NBU to 7.6.1.1 from 7.5.0.4. All is fine but very important option for administrators disapeared from context menu in Activity Monitor. Not exactly disapeared but is grayed out:
It is strange and very inconvenient for admins.
I found nothing about this option that is not available in this release.
Any suggestions?

I'm trying to het my head round Per Terabyte licensing and image retention.
Last year we backed up 600GB of data (All drives), this is verified by the nbdeployutil tool, so 1TB licence required, no problem.
Then we purchased a dedupe backup device, and have increased our retention time from 1 month to 3 months (full backup every month).
This year we back up 600GB data, nbdeployutil log states there are 3 images over 3 months, each of around 600GB (slightly different as the data is changing slightly). In the log, it has added the size (in bytes) of 2 of these images and stated this as the total amount of data backed up. We have 1.2TB that is protected, and need a 2TB licence.
From the log:-

Is this correct? Are we being charged extra due to the increased retention period? If so, why doesn't it add up all three images in the logs, not just 2 images? What can we do to alleviate this, change the retention time back to 1 month and expire the older 2 images?

before going into the actual work..look into the following steps like:-
1. pre-intallation (ie pushing nbu for oracle services in client machine)
2. licensing
3.post installation
4.policy creation
5.script parameters
6. generic code for oracle
Here my question is :- do we need to install the oracle into the master server....as in SQL ...we get license for the Sql , create batch file and save, and then follow the normal procedure of backup on nbuconsole....
