I need a solution
I just created 2 new full backup jobs in BE 2010 for windows servers. I am backing up to a b2d. My whole job runs and then when it's just about done verifying i get this error:
Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe0008442 - A memory allocation request failed. The computer may be running low on virtual memory.
Final error category: System Errors
I'v tried the follwing:
1. Verify whether the Catalogs folder exists on the path mentioned in the Backup Exec console - Tools\Options\Catalog
2. Make sure the Folder has rights for the Backup Exec Service ID and SYSTEM.
(i'm not quie sure what this suggection means, I added the same user account to the folder as the logon account I used in BE)
3. If Backup Exec was installed to a different location than the catalog location, or recently moved, try changing the catalog location in Tools\Options\Catalog.
4. Verify whether the path mentioned in Tools\Options\Catalog is same as the path in the registry on the following location "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Backup Exec For Windows\Backup Exec\Engine\Misc\Catalog path"
Any ideas?
