Netbackup 7.1.0.4, Linux 6x Master Server (VM), Windows 2008 R2 Standard Media Servers (Physical), Client -> Solaris 9, backing up Db2 in a local zone of a Solaris 10 two node cluster. All Netbackup servers and the Solaris cluster + the local zone are v7.1.0.4
Our DAG has brought to my attention the below remarks. I'm looking for an answer to give back to them. They want to know if I can do anything about these peaks when backups run.
Memory use on prds31 has quieted down. It does exceed 100% on occasion but nothing like before where paging would regularly go beyond 65% several times during the day, and memory use was regularly over 115%. Now memory hovers at around 83%. When backups are run it goes up over 100%, as shown below.
M is month, D is day, PID process number, C% is CPU % of server, M% is memory percent of server.
These are only peaks, well below the 115% previously recorded. The reduction is due to work done by our team.
